Brand Roots
The roots of Bucks and Roses starts with a childhood memory of my father. He wore hats in many different styles but I specifically remember a black fedora, which looked similar to the hats worn in the 1980s film "The Blues Brothers".
My parents James and Sharon Jordan are the inspiration to the brand name Bucks and Roses. My father was many things, mechanic, carpenter, plumber, race car driver, outdoorsman...a family man just to name a few. His spirit embodies the Buck, stoic, regal and majestic. My mother is a seamstress, baker, fashionista, caregiver, voice of reason...god fearing. She represents the Rose, elegant, vibrant and resilient.
Finally the Bucks and Roses acronym (B.A.R) symbolizes a place to not only have a good drink but also a place where people from all walks of life can come together and share a story...just as our hats are intended.
